As part of the summer survival recipe series we could never pass up the BARBEQUE. Moms at OC Mom Magazine had a blast trying these recipes out on the grill.

Barbequed Pizza:
Start with ready made pizza crust (Bobali works best)
Coat the pizza crust with olive oil on the bottom. Place on heated BBQ (medium heat is best) Next add olive oil to the top of the pizza and add toppings. In this photo the toppings include chicken, green and yellow bell peppers, pesto, onions, feta cheese, and zucchini. You can use whatever toppings you like best! Enjoy
Grilled Fruit...Barbequed Pineapple

1 fresh pineapple
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground gloves
Peel and slice the pineapple. Mix above ingredients and marinate pineapple in mixture for about 1 hour (no more than 2 hours, it becomes mushy). Place on clean barbeque and grill for 15 minutes total! This taste great with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
Grilled Corn on the Cob

1 gallon cold water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup salt
8 ears corn on the cob, husks and silk removed
1/2 cup softened butter, or to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1.Pour the water into a large pot, and stir the sugar and 1/2 cup salt together until dissolved. Place the ears of corn into the pot, and allow to soak at least 30 minutes but no longer than 8 hours. Get the BBQ nice and hot and lightly oil the grill . Place corn on BBQ turning every 2 to 3 minutes to cook the kernels on all sides. Brush the grilled corn with butter, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
