Lemonade Recipes - Summer Survival Recipes

Summer isn’t summer without icy cold lemonade. Some things always change but this drink is better the old fashion way. We have super yummy lemonade recipes below, we made and tasted them all and can’t decide which one is best….So try them all for yourself and decide. If you have any kiddos that will be hosting a lemonade stand this summer we have a few links below to make your stand ROCK!

Traditional Lemonade

6 lemons - juice

1 cup sugar, or to taste

4 cups cold water

1 lemon , cut into slices

ice cubes

To make one glass at a time:

In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and sugar; stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the remaining ingredients and blend well.

Orange Lemonade

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

3 cups water

½ cup sugar

2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice

4 orange slices, ½" thick

4 lemon slices, ¼" thick

To make one glass at a time:

Combine fresh-squeezed lemon juice, water and sugar, and blend well to dissolve sugar. Add orange juice. Mix well and chill. Place 1 orange slice and 1 lemon slice with ice cubes in a tall glass. Pour chilled Orange Lemonade over ice.

Paula Deen's Lemonade

2 cups sugar

1 cup hot water

2 cups fresh lemon juice

1 gallon cold water

1 lemon, sliced

Mint sprigs, for garnish

Directions

In a 1 gallon container, place sugar and hot water, and stir until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice and cold water to render 1 gallon. Stir until well mixed.
