Banana Smoothies have somehow become a staple in my house. I'm in love with these delicious little concoctions, they take no more than 5 minutes to make and good for the kiddo's (and Mom). Smoothies are a good source of vitamins, minerals and fiber. They also make it easy to sneak in a bunch of healthy stuff like protein powders. You can experiment with milks, try soy milk or almond milk. They make a great breakfast or snack, especially for those mom's running around town picking up and dropping off.
TIP: Don't throw out your dark bananas, instead peel them and place in a plastic bowl with lid in the freezer. Frozen banana's are awesome for smoothies.
So here are the smoothie recipes:
The Best Banana Smoothie EVER!!!
Ingredients:
2 cups Vanilla Frozen Yogurt (Dreyer's is the best)
2 Banana's
1½ cups milk
2 packets of splenda
Place all of the ingredients in the blender. Blend to desired consistency.
This smoothis taste more like a shake than a smoothie. The best part is that Dreyer's frozen yogurt has all the same benefits of regular yogurt and it makes a great smoothie.
