3… 2… 1… Blast off! Discovery Science Center’s newest permanent exhibit, “Rocket Lab” launches off July 2, 2010. Entering the Rocket Lab means stepping into the blast zone! Located inside DSC’s famous cube – a sight easily recognizable by Interstate 5 – this Lab highlights the history and science behind rocket travel. Experience a rocket launch by surrounding yourself by video screens, blasts of fog and state-of-the-art sound effects. Learn about the chemistry behind different kinds of rocket fuels used by JPL. Who knew rocket science could be so fun?!
